On 11-17-23 a Splendora Criminal Interdiction unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on US HWY 59. During the traffic stop the officer had reason to believe criminal activity was taking place and asked for consent to search the vehicle. The driver, identified as Timothy Handy, of 1714 Shallowhorn in Center, Texas denied consent. Splendora Police K9 Ordy was deployed on the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics. The Officers searched the vehicle and located approximately 51 grams of Crack Cocaine “2 cookies” concealed in a Taco Bell bag in the bed of the truck. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail and booked without incident.
