At 2:15 p.m., Conroe Police, Conroe Fire Department, MCHD, and the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Lake Patrol were dispatched to a drowning at the Piney Shores Resort at the end of League Line Road. Early reports indicated that an 8-year-old child had fallen from the dock into Lake Conroe. He was immediately pulled out by witnesses, however, was unresponsive. MCHD dispatchers instructed witnesses on giving CPR to the child. When EMS arrived they took over the scene and requested life flight.
The child was then flown to Memorial Hermann in Houston where he passed away.
