CHILD FOUND – Update on Boy Found in SMC

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Law enforcement received information that aided in identifying the mother of the small child found alone this morning in South Montgomery County. According to the MCSO, the grandmother saw the child’s photo shared on social media and contacted police. The boy’s mom was staying at a motel near where he was found. The circumstances that led to his being outside alone on a roadway have not been disclosed. Fortunately, he was safely with law enforcement before any harm could come to him.

Child Protective Services is now involved in the investigation and the child won’t be released to the mother at this time. MCSO says he is “with other family members”. The District Attorney’s Office is also involved in the investigation.

Additional information will be posted if or when it becomes available.
