Precinct 3 Arrests Suspected Child Predator

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- In June, Constable Ryan Gable’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Division launched an investigation in connection with 33-year-old Scott Jacob Baldwin, of Haltom City, Texas. Investigators say the uncovered evidence Baldwin communicated with a woman who lives in The Woodlands, and they orchestrated a plan to meet, in person, for the sole purpose of sexually assaulting the woman’s 13-year-old daughter. During the communication with the woman, Baldwin allegedly detailed his sexual interest in children and recounted previous sexual contacts he’d had with other victims in the Tarrant County area.

A search on Baldwin’s history allegedly showed previous allegations related to the sexual assault of a child in Tarrant County. Constable Gable’s ICAC Division quickly obtained the facts and evidence necessary to secure an arrest warrant for Baldwin for Online Solicitation of a Minor / Sexual Conduct. On June 26, the Euless City Police Department took Baldwin into custody on the arrest warrant filed by Constable Gable’s Detective. Baldwin was then extradited to the Montgomery County Jail where he is now held on a $100,000 bond.

  1. The story says Baldwin was conspiring online with a Woodlands woman for the sole purpose of having sex with her 13 yr old daughter. Obviously law enforcement knows who she is and it appears she should be charged as well. What about her? Or was she a part of the sting?
