East Montgomery County Firefighters are now on the scene of their second structure fire of the day. New Caney, Caney Creek, Porter, Splendora and Central Montgomery County units are on scene at a house fire in the 15700 block of Sage Brush Ct, in the Western Hills subdivision. MCHD EMS is on scene, treating one resident with a related, non-life-threating medical issue.
Many of the same crews responded earlier today to a major house fire on Oak Leaf Blvd in Porter. That fire started from unattended cooking in the kitchen and destroyed most of the home. Ultimately, it displaced seven residents ranging from  6 months to 35-years-old. There were no injuries reported in the Porter fire.
