Understand the Conroe Independent School District!
In November three positions for Conroe ISD Board of Trustees will be available. Filing for these positions opens July 21st and ends in August. The RRCA is encouraging local civic-minded citizens to consider the CISD Trustee Board Position. The importance of having local residents representing our area has never been more evident and necessary. The need for a new high school with continued local growth is obvious. A new area high school would resolve overcrowding issues at Oak Ridge High School and would enhance the value of our communities.
On Thursday, July 10th come meet, Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton will be speaking on Conroe ISD’s “Commitment to Excellence” in the true sense of the phrase. The District is a learning community committed to providing the best possible teaching environment to produce confident and competent leaders of tomorrow. Conroe ISD covers 348 square miles and currently is home to over 55,000 students, approximately 6,100 full-time employees, and 60 campuses. It offers strong core academic programs, a wide variety of athletics, and fine arts to meet the needs and interests of all of its students. Dr. Stockton will provide a “State of CISD” report and cover facts and figures associated with Conroe ISD.
