CISDPD Sends a Message

Labor Day 2015 was a weekend few area law enforcement will ever forget, because they said goodbye to their murdered brother in blue, Deputy Darren Goforth. As the Cleveland ISD Police Department returned to work Tuesday, they paid tribute to Deputy Goforth and the family he left behind, wearing Captain America shirts under their uniforms, in honor of the fallen deputy and his son. Goforth and his little boy had recently purchased matching Captain America t-shirts and planned to wear them somewhere together, but they never imagined it would be at Goforth’s funeral.

CISD Police Chief Rex Evans (third from left) posted the photo on the agency’s Facebook page with the caption,

“His Dad had all of our backs…
We promise, we will forever have his son and daughter’s back!!!”
