
Tuesday morning an Officer with Splendora Police Department observed a male who the officer recognized as a wanted individual, later identified as Jarret Greenhaw sitting outside a local business at FM 2090 and Morgan Drive. The officer went to make contact with Jarret when Jarret turned away from the officer. The officer went to detain Jarret. At this time, Jarret began to resist the officer. A couple of outstanding citizens saw the officer attempting to detain Jarret who was resisting and jumped into action and assisted the officer. After further investigation, Jarret was found to be in possession of a Controlled Substance. Jarret also showed to have an outstanding warrant for Assault Family Violence causing Bodily Injury. Jarret was arrested for the warrant along with being charged Possession of Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest.
Greenhaw was wanted for assault family violence in a December 11, 2021 incident. He was also charged at the time for interfering with an emergency call when after the assault. He was arrested and posted a $10,000 bond on January 10 on the assault charge and a $500 bond on interfering with an emergency call charge. A protective order was also put in place when he bonded out to protect the victim. On February 2, Judge Hamilton signed an order setting the bond aside and ordered his arrest when it was learned that he ignored the protective order. On February 11, 2022, he was added to Montgomery County Most Wanted.
In 2014 Greenhaw was sentenced to 45-days in the Montgomery County Jail for terroristic threat on a family member.
