Montgomery ISD would like to inform the community that today, Wednesday, December 3, local first responder agencies will conduct a planned multi-agency training exercise in the downtown Montgomery area between 10 am and 2 pm. This drill will involve law enforcement, Fire and EMS, and other emergency response partners from Montgomery County and surrounding jurisdictions. Law enforcement will stage at the MISD Athletic Complex in preparation for the drill. Members of the Montgomery ISD Police Department will also participate as part of its ongoing commitment to high-quality training and a safe school community. Please know that all campuses will remain covered by MISD police during the drill. During this exercise, residents may notice an increase in emergency vehicles, flashing lights, and hear sirens in the downtown area. Please be assured this is only a training drill designed to strengthen coordination and emergency preparedness. There is no active threat. Normal school operations will continue without interruption, and no action is required from students, staff, or families. We are sharing this information in advance to prevent concern and to support our strong partnership with local public safety agencies.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
