On October 18th, 2011, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Burglary of a Building, the Living Waters Church, located in the 9000 block of F.M. 787, outside of the City of Cleveland.
The suspect(s) broke a window to the Church, crawled inside and removed multiple items. A complete list of stolen property has not been complied as of this time. Also taken by the suspect(s) was a large air conditioning unit. At this time there no known witness(s) or suspect(s). There have been several such Burglaries in Liberty County this year involving Church chapels and buildings, costing parishioners thousands of dollars in damage and stolen property. Everyone is urged to please help in putting a stop to these heinous crimes by turning in the person(s) committing these offenses. Also, when driving by a Church facility, day or night, should you observe any suspicious activity or person(s) around a Church, or any location for that matter, please call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 or dial 9-1-1 for emergency response.
As always, the best defense is a strong offense. Everyone can help in preventing crime. With the recent budgetary cuts deeply affecting the already burdened LCSO, everyone is urged to please help us in fighting crime and stopping criminal activity in our county by calling in any suspicious activity or know criminal activity.
