CLOSE TO 200 FLEE HOMICIDE SCENE

On Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office patrol units were dispatched to a shooting in the 14700 block of Waldine, in east Harris County. Upon the deputies’ arrival on scene, they located a 17-year-old Hispanic male, who would later be pronounced deceased from gunshot wounds. The deputies learned the complainant had been in attendance at an outdoor party being thrown at the location. They estimated that approximately 200 individuals were in attendance at the party at the time of the shooting, with virtually all of these individuals fleeing the scene either before or during the deputies’ arrival. Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives determined the complainant, identified as Angel Garcia, had been in attendance at the party, along with his girlfriend, when he was approached by several Hispanic males. A brief altercation took place, and Garcia was shot and killed. It is believed the suspects were targeting the complainant, and the interaction was not random. The suspects are only described as 3 to 4 Hispanic males ranging from late teens to early 20s. At this time, there is no vehicle description for the suspects. Anyone with information about the suspects, or who witnessed the altercation, is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
