cocaine and counterfeit money found

On October 6, 2010, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received information of a counterfeiting/forgery operation in the Magnolia, Texas area where illegal narcotics could also be found.

In a combined effort with the MCSO Special Investigative Unit, the Criminal Investigations Division, and the Patrol Division; a traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle on FM 1486.

A search of the vehicle lead detectives to the discovered of a small amount of cocaine and two (2) counterfeit US Currency twenty dollar bills.

A search was conducted of the suspect’s residence where other evidence was found relating to the counterfeiting/forgery.

The suspect identified as James Edward Kosak II, age 37,has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges are pending.

The U.S. Secret Service was notified of the arrest.
