COLD FRONT MOVING OUR WAY

On Thursday a ‘July’ cold front will be moving into the area and should reach the College Station area around 6 pm though showers and thunderstorms may form along and ahead of the front the storms may start there as early as noon. The front should continue to drift southward through the evening and slow as it near the Houston Metro region and Highway 59 corridor around midnight.
The threat for heavy rainfall will increase throughout the night, the timing and location of the heavy rains could set up north of the 59 corridor and outflow from the storms may focus the storm toward the coast. It is still to uncertain as to where the greater heavy rain threat will be but should be during the overnight hours.

Stay tuned and we will update as the confidence grows on the specifics.
