BRENHAM – Brenham police are investigating the murder of a Blinn College student.
The victim has been identified as 20 year old Trey Alan Kurtz of Houston.
Brenham Police received a 911 call just before midnight Friday about a body lying in the street at the intersection of Seelhorst and Dark Streets.
Investigators say Kurtz died of a single gunshot wound, but they would not say where he was shot.
A witness told police they heard what sounded like a gun shot in the area about an hour before the body was found.
Kurtz’ body was taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner in Austin for autopsy.
Below is a letter from Blinn President Harold Nolte regarding Kurtz’ death.
