Parts of Comal County around Canyon Lake are being evacuated Saturday as heavy rain continues to cause the Guadalupe River to swell. The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Comal County until 5:52 p.m. The Comal County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that River Road is being evacuated. The post urges residents not to wait until the conditions worsen and tells people to move to higher ground and follow alerts from the National Weather Service. Comal County Sheriff’s Office is closing the Gruene bridge by Rocking R. Entrance and exit to Gruene is still open off of Hwy 306 via Hunter Road and from Gruene Road above the river. Please avoid the Gruene bridge area and stay safe, y’all.  A flash flood warning is in effect for areas near Seguin, New Braunfels and northeast Bexar County due to heavy tropical downpours on Saturday.
