COMMERCIAL FIRE IN CONROE

The Conroe Fire Department was notified of a commercial structure fire at Pentair, located at 4301 West Davis, at approximately 7 a.m. Saturday.

Conroe Firefighters arrived at 7:07 a.m. and reported there was smoke visible from the building. The fire was found in a filter drying oven. The buildings sprinkler system had activated, and effectively contained the fire to that area. Firefighters entered the structure and completed the extinguishing of the fire. The fire was reported as under control at 7:25 a.m.

The occupants were able to escape the building and all were accounted for. There were no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters.

This fire according to the Conroe Fire Marshal, demonstrates the effectiveness of a properly installed and maintained fire sprinkler system. They reduce injuries, loss of life, and loss of property due to fire.

The Conroe Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the fire to have been accidental.
