Today is 40-days that Sarge Summers has stood outside the Emergency Room at Kingwood Hospital just under his wife’s second-floor window. On December 6, 2020, Sandra was admitted to Kingwood Hospital for Covid. She had been sedated until 8-days ago. Now the wait for her to wake up. The hospital staff tells her husband of 50-years that she is coughing which is a good sign. Prior to his wife coming down with it Sarge Summers and Oilfield Consultant were affected but quickly recovered. Sarge, a very God Loving man has stood outside her window praying daily. On Sundays he has a church with her from outside, He has not been able to see her since she was admitted. Tonight the community and his family came together and joined him in the parking lot. Sandra’s nurse stood at the window videoing the vigil. Members of Summers family came from as far as East Texas, Summers pastor attended, neighbors and friends from Oakhurst, Taylor Organization Motorcycle Group, and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Deputies were all present. A lot of it came together after Porter resident Jennifer Hoppas Hyde saw the Facebook post and went to work organizing.
