Just a little after 8 pm Sunday, Conroe Fire responded to a reported commercial fire at Main and York in Conroe. The first engine arrived at the I Am Upholstery Shop with fire coming out of the roof and the trees catching fire. Firefighters made entry into the office area with very heavy smoke conditions. They were able to quickly open the bay doors and make entry into the shop area. Firefighters made a quick knockdown and found a vehicle in the rear of the shop on fire. The Conroe Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. York Avenue is closed between Main and San Jacinto.
