A Conroe man was pronounced dead on the scene Saturday night after he was struck by a vehicle around 8 p.m., as he was walking in the 1300 block of FM 2854 near Allen Rd.
Medics with the Montgomery County Hospital District transported the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian to Conroe Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and shock from the sudden and traumatic event.
The Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Division is investigating incident and were assisted on location by members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Conroe Police Department.
Precinct 1 Judge Wayne Mack also responded to the scene where he conducted an inquest and ordered the deceased transported to Montgomery County Forensic Services for an autopsy.
The victim’s identity has not been released as of this posting. MCPR will update when that occurs and notification of next of kin has been confirmed.
