Just after midnight a Conroe Police was out on traffic on I-45 northbound between SH 105 and Wilson Road.on the inside shoulder. That’s when an SUV also northbound slammed into the patrol car driving it at least 100 yards forward and crushing it. The officer was transported with lacerations to the arm. The driver of the SUV was also transported in stable condition. There is no word yet if the SUV driver was impaired. This is yet another area where TXDOT’s overhead illumination is not functioning leaving the area quite dark.
