CONROE OFFICER RETIRES AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS

Officer Joe Oldner has retired from Conroe Police Department after over 30 years. Mayor Toby Powell read a proclamation and Mayor Pro Tem, Duke Coon, presented Joe with a cedar box that has the Officer’s Prayer inscribed on the top. Mayor Pro Tem, Duke Coon, explained that the box contained black velvet with a thin blue line. The Mayor Pro Tem, whose father was a Houston Police Officer, presents one of these boxes to every retiring Conroe officers.
