MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Conroe Police responded to The Reston Apartments on Gladstell, where a man lay dead beside his vehicle. The deceased man, 35-year-old Bernard Eric Wilson III, had a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Conroe Fire and EMS were on the scene, but Wilson was beyond help.

CPD Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators initiated a homicide investigation and they’re asking for anyone with information regarding the crime to contact their Criminal Investigation Division.

Conroe Police Chief Jeff Christy said he and everyone at CPD send their condolences and support to the victim’s family.
