CONROE — On Tuesday, around 5:30 p.m., a 20-year-old, Hispanic male became the area’s latest robbery victim after he went to the Woodforest National Bank located inside Fruitlandia, a grocery store located at 525 S. Frazier. After receiving a large sum of money from the bank, he headed home.
Before reaching his destination, the victim pulled over in the parking lot at a local park, because he felt he was being followed and did not want to lead the possible assailant to his home. A Hispanic male who was, in fact, following him, pulled up blocking the victim from leaving. The suspect jumped out of his car and held a gun to the victim, demanding his wallet. The victim complied and gave his wallet to the suspect.
The suspect then fled the area. The victim returned to the bank and called the Conroe Police. Officers and Investigators identified the suspect through witness statements, video surveillance, and further investigation. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant on the suspect and located him in the 17000 block of Crockett Forest Dr. on 5-16-14. The suspect, 30-year-old Jose Emilo Mandujano, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony.
