CONROE TWO ALARM FIRE

Tuesday at 3:19 a.m., the City of Conroe Fire Department was notified of an apartment fire in Timbers of Pine Hollow Apartments at 2020 Plantation Dr.

Eight minutes later, firefighters arrived on scene and reported heavy fire from the roof of Building 10. They initiated an aggressive attack on the fire and were able to contain it to the attic area of the building. In total, 16 units were affected and 8 families displaced.

There were no reported injuries and the displaced occupants were relocated to different apartments on the property.

At 4:11 a.m., the fire was declared under control.

North Montgomery County and Lake Conroe Fire Departments assisted in firefighting efforts.

The Conroe Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office has initiated an investigation into the origin and cause of the fire. Preliminary evidence suggests that the fire originated near the exhaust fan in one of the restrooms. An occupant reported having problems with the fan approximately 2 hours before the fire was reported.
