CONSTABLE DEPUTY UTILIZES TASER TO SUBDUE A RESISTING SUSPECT

On April 17, 2020, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 13100 block of Stonefield Drive in reference to
a disturbance possibly involving a weapon. Upon deputies arriving, they observed a male who matched the description of one of the
suspects involved. Deputies approached him and while they attempted to detain him, he resisted and attempted to flee.
After a brief struggle, a deputy utilized his department-issued taser to subdue the suspect. He was identified as Curtis Banks.
“Curtis Banks was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Interfering with Public Duties. His bond was set at
$100.00 out of County Court 10.” – Constable Mark Herman
