HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Tuesday, Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a robbery at the Jack in the Box located in the 3800 block of FM 2920. Witnesses said a white Infiniti SUV with a temporary paper tag pulled alongside a truck and trailer holding lawn equipment, and then a young black man (appeared to be anywhere from late teens to early twenties), around 5 feet7 inches or 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 160-170 pounds, with shoulder-length dreads, and wearing a maroon sweatshirt. He got out of the SUV, went to the bed of the truck, and grabbed and took an Echo backpack blower before returning to the SUV.
The complainant and witness tried to stop the thieves from leaving, but the driver of the vehicle struck the complainant / victim with the right side of the vehicle. The victim fell to the ground and struck his head on the concrete. The owner of truck had video cameras monitoring the equipment and a dash camera that captured the incident.
“If you have any information regarding the identity of the suspects or whereabouts of this vehicle, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement,” Constable Mark Herman said.
