On March 12, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 17300 block of Becker Road in reference to a major vehicle crash. Upon the deputy arrival, it was discovered that the at-fault driver made a sudden turn and crashed into a vehicle. Two occupants in the victim’s vehicle were transported to a hospital via Life Flight due to life threatening injuries.
The at-fault driver was identified as Blas Jimenez, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was discovered that he was driving while intoxicated.
“Blas Jimenez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with two counts of Intoxicated Assault with Serious Bodily Injury. His total bond was set at $100,000.00 out of the 482nd District Court.”- Constable Mark Herman
