On April 15, 2025, Accident Investigators with Constable Mark Herman’s Office assigned to the District and Toll Road Divisions came together for a focused training and collaboration session. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance team proficiency in the field of accident investigation, reconstruction, and courtroom presentation. Investigators participated in case study reviews and hands-on training to ensure they remain at the forefront of emerging technologies. These included advancements in artificial intelligence, drone-based forensic scene mapping, animation presentation tools, FARO Zone 3D scale drawings and scanner technology, and SOKKIA Total Station GPS point clouds. Additionally, the team refined their skills in crash data analysis using crash data recorders(VEHICLE BLACK BOX) retrieved from vehicles involved in collisions, and in forensic evidence collection, such as DNA, critical components in securing convictions in crash-related cases. By continuing to invest in professional development and technological integration, Constable Herman’s Office maintains a high standard of excellence in accident investigation and public safety.
