Cops Say Bad Driving Got Her Busted

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX- On November 22, around 1:30 a.m., Cleveland Police Officer P. Neal was patrolling the 1200 block of Highway 59 southbound when he clocked a black 2022 Nissan Sentra traveling at 108 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour speed zone.

Officer Neal attempted to catch up with the speeder and saw the car make multiple unsafe lane changes, passing other vehicles while continuing to speed. The car nearly struck several other motorists. Officer Neal said he traveled approximately 6.8 miles before the driver willingly pulled over and stopped at Hwy 59 South and Fostoria Road.  The driver was later identified as 23-year-old Kiana Rachelle Warrick of Houston.

Officer Neal told Warrick to exit her vehicle and stand in front of the patrol car, and he immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana wafting from her car. Officer Neal asked Warrick why she was driving so fast, and if there was an emergency involved. She said she was “just trying to get home”. Warrick was taken into custody for reckless driving and placed in the backseat of the patrol car.

Officer Fleming arrived and assisted Officer Neal with conducting a search of the car, and they found a clear baggie containing marijuana inside a purse.

Kiana Warrick is charged with Reckless Driving and class B misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana (less than two ounces).  She was booked in at the Cleveland Police Department and then transported to the Liberty County Jail.
