Cops say he choked her and then went after her with a machete

On February 10, Deputy Mittag was dispatched to Friday’s Trailer Park in the 35000 block of State Highway 249. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the complainant who advised her boyfriend, 35-year-old Michael David Allen, II of Tomball, had grabbed her by the throat choking her until she could not breathe. Allen then grabbed a machete and swung it at her striking the bedroom door, at which time he was restrained by others males on scene. Allen was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony assault/impede breath.

On February 8, Deputy Erickson was driving North in State Highway 249 approaching Highway 149. The Deputy observed two vehicles driving south and it looked as if the vehicle in the East lane crossed the center line and came close to hitting the other vehicle. The Deputy made a U-turn and got behind the vehicle. The vehicle was swerving within its lane and hit the curb at West Rollingwood Drive. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop, however the vehicle continued south and failed to yield at two red lights. The vehicle continued south into Tomball where it eventually pulled over. The driver, 60-year-old Hoa Dang Nguyen of Houston was identified. After an investigation, Nguyen was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated and evading arrest / detention with a vehicle.

 

Elsewhere in District 4 – Lt. Allison Amundson (West County)

On February 10, Deputy McDonald responded to a disturbance call on State Highway 249. Once on scene, one of the witnesses was shown to be an out of state fugitive from justice for larceny, grand theft, fraud and being in possession of stolen property. The warrants were confirmed and the 25 year old male taken into custody.

On February 9, Deputy Lawson was dispatched to the Indigo Lakes subdivision, in reference to a welfare check. The Deputy made contact with a 58 year old male, at the intersection of Timber Ridge and Topaz Ridge, standing in the street. The male had slurred speech, was having a hard time maintaining his balance and was holding a 16 ounce Bud Light. Due to the male being intoxicated and in a public place, the deputy placed him into custody for public intoxication.

On February 6th, Deputies Mittag and McDonald were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 31000 block of East Lost Creek Road. Upon arrival, the Deputies spoke to the complainant who stated that his brother and his friend jumped him. The complainant stated that he was in a verbal altercation with his brother and it escalated into his brother grabbing him by the neck and throwing him up against the kitchen cabinet. Both his brother and his friend chased him across the street to the neighbor’s yard and began punching and kicking him. The complainant had a bruise on his cheek and cuts on his hands. A witness confirmed the incident. The brother, a 32 year old male was taken into custody for assault.
