Cops Say Driver of Stolen Car was 14-Year-Old Girl

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested two juveniles on May 31, after locating a stolen vehicle in the 19500 block of Aldine Westfield Road.

A sergeant responding to the scene spotted the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, a 14-year-old female, and the passenger, a 15-year-old male, were both found to have prior arrest records.

During the investigation, deputies say they discovered the pair was in possession of “criminal instruments”, but they haven’t specified what items.

“Both juvenile suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center,” Constable Mark Herman said. “The female juvenile was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Criminal Instruments. The male juvenile was charged with Criminal Trespass.”

Juveniles’ identities are not released when they’re arrested, unless they are charged as adults, which is rare.  Therefore, no identifying information besides their ages and genders can be posted.
