Cops Say he Got Mad, Stole Her Gun, Tried to Burn Her House & Spat on a Deputy

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On November 25, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s office responded to the 2600 block of Camrola Way in reference to a disturbance. They detained the suspect and identified him as 27-year-old Keaton Malone.

Further investigation revealed he was in an argument with the complainant, during which he allegedly stole her firearm and poured an ignitable liquid throughout the residence to set it on fire. He was also found to be in possession of two ounces of marijuana and another firearm. Due to the attempted arson, Deputies contacted the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office and they also responded to the scene.

While being transported to jail, the suspect spat on and threatened a Deputy.

“Keaton Malone was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Retaliation, Theft of a Firearm, Attempted Arson of a Habitation and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. His bond for the Attempted Arson was set at $50,000 out of the 178th District Court. He is awaiting bond setting for the additional charges,” Constable Mark Herman said.
