Cops Say Repeat Offender was Asleep at the Wheel

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On October 7, 2025, deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 3200 block of Nickwill Way in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle and found the driver asleep behind the wheel. Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Daniel Cortez, who allegedly displayed multiple signs of intoxication.

Daniel Cortez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $15,000 out of County Court 4,” Constable Mark Herman said.
