HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On September 12, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 17800 block of the Tomball Parkway in reference to a stolen vehicle.
The complainant reported that his pickup truck had just been stolen. As the suspect drove away, the owner managed to jump into the bed of the truck and remained on the phone with 911 dispatch, assisting Deputies in tracking the stolen vehicle.
Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit for several miles before finally coming to a stop. The driver was detained and identified as Jade Grigsby, a convicted felon. Fortunately, the truck’s owner was still in the pickup’s bed and was not injured.
“Jade Grigsby was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Her total bond was set at $42,500 out of the 174th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
