Cops Say She’s a Biter

SPRING, TX– A woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly physically assaulted a Deputy and made threats on his life following a disturbance call in North Harris County.

On Saturday, Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance in the 19800 block of Sundance Drive. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Sarah Young, who was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation and showed multiple signs of intoxication.

During their investigation, Deputies learned that Young had physically assaulted another person at the scene. Due to her condition, she was transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation.

However, upon arrival at the hospital, Young allegedly became increasingly combative, refused to follow verbal commands, and would not exit the patrol vehicle. In a sudden escalation, she allegedly struck a Deputy and bit him on the neck, causing visible injuries and pain. She also threatened to kill the Deputy during the altercation.

“Sarah Young was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, Retaliation, and Assault,” Constable Mark Herman said. “Her total bond was set at $14,000 out of the 487th District Court and County Court 2.”

The Deputy was treated for his injuries. The investigation into the original disturbance and assault is ongoing
