Cops Say THIS Foney had Real Weed

CLEVELAND, TX- Around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Cleveland Police Officer Crisanto was working traffic enforcement in the 900 Block of Hwy 59 northbound when he allegedly clocked a 2016 Lexus ES3 traveling at a high rate of speed, well over the speed limit for that stretch of road. Officer Crisanto activated his emergency lights and siren and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, 32-year-old Taurean Martell Foney, was the vehicle’s only occupant and Officer Crisanto says there was a strong odor of marijuana wafting from the vehicle. Foney was asked to exit the vehicle and CPD Officers, having probable cause, conducted a search which revealed multiple clear plastic baggies in the center console and glove compartment, along with a backpack on the passenger seat containing another plastic bag with marijuana inside.

Officer Crisanto placed Foney under arrest and transported him to the Cleveland Police Department Jail for booking. The marijuana weighed 1.69 ounces.

Taurean Martell Foney, of Houston, is charged with class B misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.
