COUNTERFEIT RING BUSTED

On Thursday October 17, 2013, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office units were dispatched to the Wal Mart Supercenter, located in the 3000 Block of College Park Drive, The Woodlands, in reference to a forgery in progress. Arriving units discovered a male was attempting to pass a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill. After an investigation, Deputies arrested the suspect, Robert Daniel Cartwright, and charged him with forgery.

After the arrest, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Detectives, along with the United States Secret Service, conducted an investigation in reference to the counterfeit money. On Tuesday October 22, 2013, Detectives and Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, agents from the United States Secret Service, and Officers from the Willis Police Department, in a joint effort, ran a warrant at a residence located in the Pin Oak Estates sub division, which is located in Willis.

As a result of the warrant service, counterfeiting equipment including computers, printers, mass storage units, and other devices were confiscated. Counterfeit money was additionally recovered at the location. An arrest was made at the location, charging Robert Allen Gruber with forgery.

Another thief named Robert (Allen Stanford) couldn’t have gone as far as he did with poor grooming and looking like a sub-educated greaser but conning 28,000 people out of $7 billion worldwide requires a bit more spit and polish than coloring on toilet paper with crayons trying to steal $100 from Walmart does. Proves my theory that tiny brains can’t think big.
