Monday morning Montgomery County Commissioners voted to return control of the Montgomery County Animal Shelter to the County effective Saturday November 7. . The employees will be county employees with benefits. They will work on the same budget but look for an increase before the fiscal year is over. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jim Clark will handle oversight as a new director is sought and the county moves toward forming a Local Government Corporation which will then run the shelter.
