Rider transported by Lifeflight Helicopter to the Houston Medical Center
New Waverly Fire and EMS crews were dispatched just before 3pm Saturday to reports of a motorcycle accident at the New Waverly exit on I-45 Southbound. Upon arrival they found several other motorcycle club members caring for the injured rider.
Paramedics from Walker County EMS and the New Waverly Fire Department began treatment at the scene, while calling for a Lifeflight Helicopter to meet them at the New Waverly Helipad.
The victim, a white male, approximately 60 years old, was stabilized on scene and was transported by Walker County EMS to the Helipad, where the patient was transferred to the Lifeflight Helicopter and transported to the Houston Medical Center.
The Texas Department of Public Safety will be conducting the investigation into the cause of the accident.
