CRASH INJURES ONE as passenger steers car

At 4 am Saturday morning an off duty Humble ISD Police officer was on his way home northbound on FM 1485 near Whispering Pines when a red GMC Jimmy lost control and flipped into the ditch. The officer immediately notified dispatchers and determined the two females suffered minor injuries.

New Caney Fire Department and Caney Creek Fire Department responded to the scene and MCHD transported the female passenger.

The female driver identified as Jerry Svoboda, 23 of Splendora, told officers that she was changing the music on her Ipod as the passenger steered the vehicle. The y lost control, crossed the southbound lanes and flipped upside down in the ditch.

  1. Oh yeah! Drop the car to drive the I-pod. It’s always more important to get the right music on your I-pod than it is to drive the car. Gotta have the right tunes going. Right.
