In less than 24 hours, residents in a small community in Liberty County say their voices are finally being heard after a crude oil spill damaged their properties, and well water supply and killed their livestock. The site is off County Road 4801 between SH 99 and US 90 near Dayton. TCEQ and the Texas Railroad Commission are aware of the situation. Jay Management is the operator who owns the mineral rights in the area and have started the cleanup process. One resident has already lost several goats due to the spill. Dozens have complained about the situation.
