On May 29, 2018, at about 2:20 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 23607 Kelly Joe Smith Road, Porter, Texas in reference to an aggravated robbery. While in route, Deputies were advised that a black male suspect with a handgun robbed the Cash Store at this location. Deputies arrived and learned that a black male with dreadlocks, about 5’5” and wearing ripped acid washed blue jeans and a black zippered jacket, entered the store and attempted to get a title loan. The suspect advised that he needed to get his identification from his car. Upon returning to the store, the suspect displayed a silver semi-automatic pistol demanding money from the store. The Cash Store employees placed the money in bags and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then left the location. Deputies believe this suspect could be linked to previous aggravated robberies in Harris County and Montgomery County.
