CRIMINAL MISCHIEF RESULTS IN SHOTS FIRED

On June 19, 2012 around 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at the Briarcrest Apartments on Brookhaven in South Montgomery County and that gunshots where suspected. When deputies arrived they found that there had been a fight between several people and when some of those involved tried to drive away a suspect threw a baseball bat at the car shattering the driver’s window. The driver then ran into two parked cars.
When the occupants were getting out of the car they heard gunshots and all ran away but
returned when deputies arrived. Deputies found that a bullet had entered the window of a nearby apartment. No weapon was found nor were deputies able to identify anyone with a gun. Roy F. Hearn 35 years old from Spring, Texas was arrested for damaging the car with the baseball bat and taken to jail.
One person suffered a minor cut from the vehicle’s shattered glass.
