Art Hood, a Paramedic and long time member of the Cypress Creek EMS organization passed away this weekend after complications from heart surgery on Friday. Art passed away at the age of 49, he had been involved in Cypress Creek EMS for over 25 years and was over the volunteers. He was always into helping others and helping the community. Along with Cypress Creek he volunteered his time with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Citizens Police Academy. There he held the position of the County President. All this was in addition to working his regular full time job. Many volunteers looked up to Art as a mentor.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
