DAYTON DOPE HOUSE BUSTED

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit received information that narcotics were being sold/distributed from a residence located on CR404, Dayton, Liberty County, Texas. Investigators determined that the property consisted of a small trailer park with approximately eight travel trailers that were occupied by several different residents. The unit began making purchases of suspected “Crystal Meth” from two different residents identified as Shanin Raydon Lloyd aka: “Shan-O”, W/M, 4-7-1979 and Michael Leroy Schwab, W/M, 7-26-1982. On Thursday, July 26, 2018 the Criminal Interdiction Unit used the assistance of the Liberty County Special Response Team and the East Montgomery County Special Response Team to execute a search warrant at approximately 8:30pm on two travel trailers. The search warrant was issued by Honorable Judge Mark Morefield of the 75th District Court, Liberty County, Texas.

Upon entering and securing Lloyd’s residence, a female identified as Crystal Myline Mertz, W/F, 12-23-1983 was located and detained. Shanin Lloyd was detained in the front driveway area. As the SRT secured the second travel trailer, Michael Schwab was located inside and detained. Upon searching Lloyd’s trailer, Investigators located and recovered multiple pieces of suspected “Crystal Meth” that was packaged, along with other packaging materials and digital scales. Investigators also recovered a single shot shotgun that had been sawed off to approximately 13” inches with a make shift wooden pistol grip that is considered a prohibited weapon. Investigators also located a black designer man bag inside an adjoining abandoned travel trailer that was found to contain a black, .357 caliber revolver handgun, digital scales, I-Pad, large bag of marijuana, loaded syringes of suspected liquid meth and multiple plastic bags containing approximately 47.55 grams of suspected “Crystal Meth.” After further investigation, it was determined that the items belong to Lloyd. Investigators will be conducting further analysis. Upon searching Michael Schwabs residence, investigators located approximately 1.28 grams of suspected “Crystal Meth” along with multiple packaging materials and digital scales. At the end of the investigation, four persons were arrested and transported to jail.
