MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation Friday after someone reported what appeared to be a dead body in a ditch alongside Loop 494 near E. Memorial Drive in Porter. Responding Deputies discovered there was, in fact, a decomposing body in the ditch.
Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn responded and conducted an inquest. Judge Dunn had Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transport the body to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
The deceased did not have identification, but reportedly appeared to be a man in his early thirties who may have been Hispanic. The location of the body was beside a very a heavily traveled roadway, with automobile and pedestrian traffic both day and night.
