UPDATE – 2:30 p.m. DELILAH has been ADOPTED!!! She’s now SAFE!

Thanks to everyone who shared the post and prayed for Delilah – a wonderful couple of humans saw her story and rushed to the animal shelter to adopt her! She has a home and won’t be put down! Don’t you just love a happy ending?!?

Earlier post:

Delilah is on the porch at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter on Hwy 242, waiting to greet people and hoping someone will give her a chance. She only has a few hours left and she’ll be euthanized if nobody steps up.

There were, once again, several pups on death row at the Animal Shelter, but with time running out TODAY at 5 p.m., only one girl is left. Delilah will be euthanized if someone doesn’t give her home by then. She’s had terrible luck with humans, but still loves them and the volunteers adore her and don’t understand how nobody has decided to give her home.

A couple took Delilah to the shelter after finding her dumped or left behind – homeless, and the wife made the following comment saying how much she wishes they could make her part of their family:

“My husband was the one that found Delilah and we brought her to MCAS! She is incredibly sweet and we would have kept her if we did not live in a tiny apartment I would love if anyone could help her!”

Many comments and videos are posted by volunteers praising Delilah and encouraging someone to give her a home. Unfortunately, most of the volunteers have homed more dogs they ever imagined and they’d take more if only they could.

Delilah looks a little rough, but always has a smile and love for whoever is willing to befriend her. She’s been on foster field trips, and she’s been on the porch of the shelter to greet people and has done well with everyone – except nobody who saw how personable she is took the initiative and made the next step. Maybe they intended to, but she’s out of time.

Adoption fees are waved. She promises she’ll be the best friend you never had, if you’ll only let her. Just do it!
