HARRIS COUNTY, TX— Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a man Saturday after he showed signs of intoxication during a traffic stop on I-10.
On May 17, 2025, deputies stopped a vehicle in the 16300 block of the freeway and identified the driver as Elan Douglas. Deputies noted that Douglas exhibited several signs of intoxication.
They conducted a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and determined that Douglas was intoxicated. Further investigation revealed two prior DWI convictions on his record. Deputies obtained a blood specimen for analysis.
Deputies took Douglas into custody and booked him into the Harris County Jail. He faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated – 3rd Offense. The 177th District Court set his bond at $35,000, according to Constable Mark Herman.
