Deputies Arrest Suspect Wanted for Contractor Fraud

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On April 25, Deputies with Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office apprehended a suspect wanted out of Louisiana for contractor fraud.

Detectives were contacted by officials from Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, seeking assistance in locating Britton Elkins, who was wanted on charges of Contractor Fraud – Theft. After an investigation, deputies conducted a warrant service at a residence in the 18000 block of Fossilwood Lane.

Constable deputies successfully located and arrested Elkins without incident. Authorities confirmed the outstanding warrant from Louisiana at the time of his arrest.

“Britton Elkins was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. He received no bond and is currently awaiting extradition to Louisiana,” stated Constable Mark Herman.

Elkins remains in custody as extradition proceedings are underway.
