HARRIS COUNTY, TX— On June 7, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a wanted felony suspect after responding to reports of a suspicious person in the 14600 block of Ella Boulevard.
Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered a male suspect asleep inside a vacant apartment. When they attempted to make contact, the suspect became combative and ignored repeated commands. A Deputy deployed a department-issued Taser to safely subdue the individual, who was later identified as Byron Andrews.
A search of Andrews revealed he was in possession of 2.5 grams of crack cocaine. Further investigation uncovered two open felony warrants for Aggravated Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
Deputies arrested Andrews and transported him to the Harris County Jail. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to the outstanding warrants. His bond was set at $25,000 by the 263rd District Court.
“Byron Andrews was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance,” Constable Mark Herman said.
